Madawaska Maliseet First Nation, N.B.

Dear Chief Bernard,

I want to congratulate you and your committee for being re-elected on August 18, 2011, as well as the Council of the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation Band for the marvellous work accomplished on your First Nation community over the last decade. As a result, your reservation has become a model among others in the country and this tourist stop will be the most beautiful in Canada. Therefore, it would be to your Band`s advantage to acknowledge the opportunity of an eventual affiliation with BP-Sportsoasis Inc. with regards to the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation Sports Oasis project, and all this offered free of charge by the promoter.

However, as the promoter of Témis Lake BP Sports Oasis, I have been boycotted by the Edmundston City Council, and by local media for various reasons dating back to 1981, from the father of the Foire Brayonne, and more recently, by the local tourism office, and as I am not part of the network of camaraderie that exists within the municipal bureaucracy, I have no other choice than to present it to persons who are concerned with the economic development of the region. So, for the advancement of this grand and beautiful project, I address myself to the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation Band Council to propose that you exploit your fish farm built at a cost of 3 million, subsidized by the federal government, opened in early 2000 and closed a few years later for obscure reasons. This site, located on your territory near the Iroquois River is ideal as an outdoor recreational area, which could accommodate groups of visitors going on different field trips. Without a doubt, this would be very beneficial for both communities. My suggestion for the name of this outdoor recreational area is Big Chief.

Accordingly, it is likely that your service area will have a hotel to accommodate tourists. This hotel partner will most certainly be interested in becoming the first hotel operator to be affiliated to BP-Sports Oasis Inc., providing accommodations for the tourists who come to participate in one or more outdoor field trips using Kim’s Game. These excursions will take place on the territory of the Témis Lake BP Sports Oasis, which goes along the bike path and covers the area from Rivière-du-Loup to Grand Falls. Moreover, there exist many other interesting things associated with this project, which are explained in more detail on the site www.bp-sportsoasis.com. The Sports Oasis project will be publicized in the website pantheonboxing.com soon, on Radio-Canada and on CIMT-TV as a tourist attraction and presented by the Honourable Bernard Valcourt, P.C., Member of Parliament, Minister of State for Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the Francophonie to the federal government, at the opening of Parliament after the 2011 summer vacation period. It would be an honour to make the announcement that your community has accepted to be affiliated to this grandiose economic project. New email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Of course, your community will receive important economic benefits due to this project presented at such an opportune time. Consequently, I would appreciate a response from your Band Council as soon as possible.
